My niece got married tbis past weekend in the rustic barn. Was told there would be a kitchen by the time the wedding rolled around, told there was AC & there was not. Was told we would have access to the ice machine & did not & charged us for the ice then was told there was no more ice. The venue was incredibly dirty...we had to clean before we could start decorating. The list goes on. Would not recommend this venue!!!!
My sister got married here just last week. Cindy was very difficult to get a hold of. My mother would call multiple times and leave several messages and never hear back. Friday when we went to decorate the hall was filthy from a week before. Bathrooms were overflowing with stinky trash in ALL of the trashcans. We were told several times that she'd have it cleaned and ready before the wedding. Saturday morning we get there to find out the trash still wasn't taken out. At 3:00 the bathrooms were starting to get cleaned while we were trying to get our dresses on for photos. Several of the chairs were in really poor condition. We weren't given the correct number of chairs. The ground was very uneven around the facility. The septic system smelled horrible when walking out the front of the building. We were followed around the whole time like we were not able to be trusted. My mother was also charged an 18% gratuity that was not discussed.
The place has a lot of potential but be aware! Sign a contract and hold her to every thing she tells you.
We camped here this past weekend. Has the potential to be a decent place. Just not there yet. They over booked us. So we were crammed on 1 site. Which are already very small to begin with. We had 2 campers and 7 people. We couldn't use the electricity because the box kept shorting out with 2 campers trying to pull off one. And we got charged for 2 separate sites. The pool in the picture is NOT the camp grounds pool. Their pool is an empty rusty broken down cement hole in the ground. We also had to chase off loose dogs all weekend. Not a fun experience.
I tried to leave NO STARS and it wouldn't let me. My daughters wedding was this past weekend. We understood that we were renting a rustic barn but the condition of the barn was beyond rustic. The tables and chairs were covered in spider webs full of eggs. The bathrooms were just as bad. The chairs that were provided for the ceremony were supposed to be 100 and white. There were about 6-8 that were unusable and they were all grey with dirt. After spending 3 hours cleaning the hall we spent another hour cleaning the chairs. We were told that they would have a kitchen installed by the time we had the wedding, didn't happen. They don't even have a refrigerator or stove to use let alone a sink!! Then to keep our food warm we were using roasting pans and kept blowing the breakers. Their solution was to run extension cords all the way down the building 3 hours before the reception was starting! We paid an extra $250 to not have to clean up or worry about the trash and were told we needed to take the trash back up to the office dumpster (which is at least a half mile up a gravel road) We were told there was an ice machine that we could use. Then when we asked for ice we were told it was $2.00 a bag and it was limited because there was another wedding this weekend in the other building. When our family tried to check into the camp site and cabins they waited for hours to get the keys, just to find the cabins also had spiders and wasps and they hadn't even bothered to turn the a/c on knowing that they were rented. (it was 96 degrees) The last straw was that my daughter absolutely asked if there was a/c in the building. She was told yes. We found out on Thursday that there was none, we had to scramble to rent fans at a cost of $370, plus buy ice, plus spend hours cleaning. It may seem like a good place but it is not worth it in the end. Billy tries to keep up but its too much for one person and Cindy is never there unless you are bringing money. We called 3-4 times before the event to get additional information and we were told that she didn't have her book with her, she wasn't in the office, etc. When we complained I was provided a contract that was not signed nor was it in my name and did not show the deposits or anything that was discussed between her and my daughter. Lastly, my daughter does not have a copy of this alleged contract. We asked for a discount for the lack of kitchen and she refused and we asked for reimbursement for the fans and she refused.
