I tried to leave NO STARS and it wouldn't let me. My daughters wedding was this past weekend. We understood that we were renting a rustic barn but the condition of the barn was beyond rustic. The tables and chairs were covered in spider webs full of eggs. The bathrooms were just as bad. The chairs that were provided for the ceremony were supposed to be 100 and white. There were about 6-8 that were unusable and they were all grey with dirt. After spending 3 hours cleaning the hall we spent another hour cleaning the chairs. We were told that they would have a kitchen installed by the time we had the wedding, didn't happen. They don't even have a refrigerator or stove to use let alone a sink!! Then to keep our food warm we were using roasting pans and kept blowing the breakers. Their solution was to run extension cords all the way down the building 3 hours before the reception was starting! We paid an extra $250 to not have to clean up or worry about the trash and were told we needed to take the trash back up to the office dumpster (which is at least a half mile up a gravel road) We were told there was an ice machine that we could use. Then when we asked for ice we were told it was $2.00 a bag and it was limited because there was another wedding this weekend in the other building. When our family tried to check into the camp site and cabins they waited for hours to get the keys, just to find the cabins also had spiders and wasps and they hadn't even bothered to turn the a/c on knowing that they were rented. (it was 96 degrees) The last straw was that my daughter absolutely asked if there was a/c in the building. She was told yes. We found out on Thursday that there was none, we had to scramble to rent fans at a cost of $370, plus buy ice, plus spend hours cleaning. It may seem like a good place but it is not worth it in the end. Billy tries to keep up but its too much for one person and Cindy is never there unless you are bringing money. We called 3-4 times before the event to get additional information and we were told that she didn't have her book with her, she wasn't in the office, etc. When we complained I was provided a contract that was not signed nor was it in my name and did not show the deposits or anything that was discussed between her and my daughter. Lastly, my daughter does not have a copy of this alleged contract. We asked for a discount for the lack of kitchen and she refused and we asked for reimbursement for the fans and she refused.
