From north jct I-29 (exit 53) & US 71: Go 1/4 mi N on US 71, then 1/2 mi W on gravel road.
Off the beaten path (dirt road) for sure! Spacious sites. Decent price. Nice owners. Huge dog park WITH GRASS!
Pool could have been cleaner (dark ring around the tile of the pool) and available as it was REALLY HOT (middle of July) and we could have used it for sure.
Hopefully since the new owners are in the process of improvements, it will shine like a diamond some day soon.
The camp ground owners are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well maintained the walking trails are nice and the location is close enough to town that if you forgot something you could just pop over to one of the many nearby shops great place to camp
We had a very pleasant stay at the AOK Campground. Restrooms and showers were clean as well as the laundry room. The owners are working hard, adding adminaties to help making your camping experience nice. The campground cookout was a special treat while we were there. Will definitely stay there again while in St. Joseph.
Absolutely loved our weekend at the covered wagon 🙂 it's near the interstate, but the traffic noise was no bother. The shower/bathroom facilities are clean and nice, the grounds are kept up and the owners are amazing!!
