**Zan's Creekside Campground** is a family owned and operated park. We offer RV camping, tent sites, and day time access to the river for non-campers.
**30 and 50 amp RV Sites are OPEN YEAR ROUND!!!!**
All RV sites are naturally shaded by the plentiful supply of tall trees on the campground. Also, all sites are less than a one minute walk to the beach. Popular activities include river tube floating from Grand Falls to our location. Grand Falls is about five minutes away by car, the return float trip takes about 1-1/2 to 2 hours (we DO rent tubes, we do NOT provide transportation). Our location is very popular for launching or retrieving kayaks and we provide parking for vehicles left at one end of the trip (we do NOT rent kayaks). Fishing is always an enjoyable pastime here as well.
**We offer weekly and monthly rates for both 30 amp and 50 amp RV Sites.**
Well behaved pets are welcome. Alligators must be kept on a short leash!!
RV's access the park on the EAST side of Coyote Drive, pull in front of the small yellow building (which is NOT our office) and give us a call at 417-782-0441, we'll meet you in person and take you down to your spot.
Primitive tent campers and day use patrons use the West side entrance by the large Zan's sign. Electric tent sites may be accessed from either side, depending on which site you have reserved.
Have a great trip!!!
Not bad to camp. Younger crowds stayed up pretty late. River and the gate attendants were the best part. Super friendly and the water was perfect for a hot day.
Camping or picnic or just out to catch amazing scenery, you’ll find plenty here! That why I rated it 5 ⭐️ rooms are what you make of it🥳 camping ⛺️ or a 🧺 picnic is always fun!
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was wonderful! We just did the $5 per person for the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We floated the down Shoal's Creek some and sat in the water and played. We had a great time. We found that earlier in the afternoon is less crowded on a Saturday. It started filling up really fast starting at around 4-4:30 for the dinner cookout crowd. Great little place to stop right off I-44 and relax for the day!
Not a large campground so kinda close to the other trailers. Not really a complaint, just a heads up. The people around us was all respectful. Fairly well maintained & shower house isn't bad either. The owner is really pleasant as well. If you see the bad review taking about price, ignore that review. They aren't that expensive. In staying 4 nights with 2 adults and 2 dogs. It was only $112. There is a fee for over 2 people, but it's a very reasonable increase. More people use more utilities, so they need to make more to not lose money. At $28/night, they are a pretty decent place. If needing a place to stay in Joplin, this is a good spot. I haven't stayed anywhere else here to compare them to, but they contend with the other places all around the Midwest. Can't comment on scenery because dark when I go to work & dark when I get back, but the view from Google maps makes it look like it would be good. I recommend this place. Happy camping yall.
I came in after dark but with just a phonecall a very friendly person quickly opened the gate for me and helped me find my spot. Staff was friendly and helpful in person and when seeing up a reservation. Bath House was clean and warm even in the winter. Top notch campground.
