Spent much of my childhood here. The cove is small when compared other recreational areas, however, it is much more in touch with nature than bigger lakes. If you like being out in nature and away from society this is a great place to be. Unfortunately, when it comes to the fishing you may want to look elsewhere. Just like other NRD lakes the fishing game here is mediocre. The lake suffers from algae blooms and fish kill offs. According to sample reports the fish are much smaller. NRD will say this is normal, however, I don't believe that fish are thriving in this particular lake.
Very fun, relaxing place to hang out at. I always enjoy exploring places in different counties that you typically don't get to see everyday. It makes it easier to not spend your days on social media alllllll day long lol ......but the moment u do it's Only to post your cool pictures you took on your adventure 😎 🚶♀️🐸🐠🌻🌼😅
We spent three days there. This is a quiet and very well kept area and we were lucky to experience clear windless weather and comfortable temperatures for late August. We plan on coming back with our grandkids next time.
Really quiet when we were there, in December. Beautiful. The kids and I want to return when we can camp and fish...
Great like place to get outside.
There's a trail that goes ask around the lake. Great place for bird watching.
