From southwest city limits: Go 1 mi SW on Hwy 149, then 1/2 mi W on Airport Rd.
Creede and surrounding views and area get 5 Stars. This “up-scale” RV park however was deficient in several ways: 1) Wi-Fi was advertised but in park, spotty at best, 2) our site had not been weeded in a while 3) the picnic table and pad had not been cleaned-guess they were waiting for rain. The general landscaping was impressive with bronze sculptures and antique implements. The office staff was less than responsive. We really enjoyed Creede Repertory Theater and the welcoming group at the rec center in Creede for Pickleball.
Office staff is very friendly. But some guy, maybe the owner, drives around in a gray colored F150 causing trouble, threatening the people staying here, literally with physical harm. I mean, who does that? Must be a newer owner as we'd stayed here before and never seen anything like this. I went to look at reviews in past 4 years or so, 14 reviews of 1-star. Prior to that, only 1 and it was about a scheduling issue. I'd say something changed with this place about 4-5 years ago. New ownership maybe. Well, my review will be 1-star number 15 for this place. That's sad, used to be such a nice place.
One of the nicest RV Campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Great wide, well maintained sites. Food and Ice Cream on location daily. Accessible to Creede Co. I wish the Car/Toy Wash had been working but that one thing didn't spoil our stay. We've already talked about planning another stay.
