This campground was by far the worst we have ever been to. The campsites are so close together, the pool is not kid friendly, the main building is falling apart, and they are lacking basic amenities on top of that. If you’re looking for a campground to just drop your trailer off at and leave it would be fine for that, if you’re looking for a fun, clean campground this is not it.
It is not really close to MPLS/St. Paul. The place is noisy. We kind of knew what we were getting before we went so we rented a cabin instead of tenting it. Not somewhere we would typically go camping as we like secluded and quiet but if your okay with some city noise and looking for a quick get away that's pet friendly and kid friendly it's okay. Staff seemed friendly the little we interacted.
Noisy from highway traffic and semi truck garage with loud impact wrenches right behind fence around camp sites on right of entrance. They did accommodate moving to a site further away but still noisy and pain to reset camp. Stay was 3 days 4 nights. Dog park ok and indoor pool with a playground so kid friendly for sure.Slow internet. Bathrooms clean. Convenient for visiting family in Chaska area
The cabin we rented was clean. The staff was great. The two things I'll note:
1) the campers here get packed in like sardines. Very aggressive use of space. This is not good or bad. It's just an observation worth mentioning. If you're looking for privacy, you are NOT getting it here.
2) the toilets were tiny, and while I was there on the weekend of 9/30-10/1 2023, they were marginally maintained.
If it's a stop over for you, or just a place to sleep... It will work.
If you have kids you are traveling with, there's a playground and pool that should keep them entertained. And it looks like they try to keep fun activities going.
It's just not very "country camping".
All together, I was pleased with our stay!
