We love Red Rider. Cabins are just as described and perfect for a weekend outdoors any season. Right on the Cuyuna trail system and on a beautiful pit mine lake perfect for swimming, and even rainbow trout off the dock. Resort owners are often seen cleaning and maintaining and have been accommodating of early check-in etc. Shared bathrooms are kept as clean as can be expected.

We stayed for the first time in June 2022, we loved it so much that we returned in Aug. We stayed in an RV spot. It is super quiet. I love that it's a small resort. Our family loved the swimming dock and new swim platform. The lake was gorgeous to swim in. The resort is kept clean. We travel from Canada specifically to bike the Cuyuna trails, which are accessed right from the resort. Super one grocery store is literally 2 mins away. They don't have fresh water for RV's on site, and we lack the knowledge of where to fill our camper. That's a bit of an issue we are trying to figure out. Overall, we love this resort. We had to book early this year to get our 2 trips booked! Can't wait! My only comment is that it feels they could use a few more RV spots, they are always booked, and the tent spots seem to be more empty.

Also, I love that the reservation rates are affordable compared to some resorts in Cuyuna!

Very nice place. Clean and cozy. Only stayed one night but it was a nice experience. Wish I would have brought a fishing pole. Nice dock to fish off of.

We've been going up to Crosby for a few years and I don't know why we have never stayed here, because it is our new fave place!

I like to rough it, but my husband needs to glamp... so he loved the mini fridge and screen door so he could see outside but not get bitten up.

I loooooooved the views and jumping in the cold lake and omg I have never seen so many wild strawberries in the woods before, I can't imagine what it is like when they are fruiting. I took a lot of nature photos after it rained, really beautiful grounds. Lots of great plants. The honeysuckle was blooming and we saw a hummingbird eating at one of the bushes, lovely!

Beds are actually comfy, woo hoo! Plus excellent location, easy to buzz into town for coffee & food and easy to jump on the trails!

The kitchen came in so handy to heat up leftovers and that toilet paper in the bathrooms is the most luxurious ever!!! I can't wait to go back but they are always booked up when we wanna go.

I do wish there were trail maps in the binder in the rooms, I really like to study them and decide where I want to ride.

UPDATE 9.6.2023: Our 2nd stay here was very nice. My mom loved it! We did use the bunk beds for the 1st time and although comfy, if the bottome person is a restless sleeper you can feel every wobble.

Use the connector trail for the 1st time and it was the best for not having to load up bikes onto the care. Bike out and ride right to Yawkey which is our fave unit. We love the little kitchen more and more each time too... such a money saver so we don't have to eat out all the time. And... just booked our 3rd stay for this fall. We love it here!!!
