One of our favorite Texas tent and/or RV camping camping experiences. Also great place to kayak and paddleboard. Don't bother trying to fish here though, in the past 20 years I've fished all over Texas and have only been skunked at one location, Canyon Lake. That aside this has amazing hiking trails, amazing picturesque views, and an all around great experience.

Other than the not happy guy at the gate it was great. Very pretty sunsets, very clean and nice folks in the office.

Usually this place is amazing. If you have plans going for Labor Day weekend reconsider . The water is so low and it’s all muddy . You can walk the whole area it’s just sand and mud. The guy at the front didn’t warn us at all about how low it was. Hopefully we get more water but save yourself the drive

Our first time there and had a wonderful time. The pictures don't do it justice. This lake is Beautiful, just Beautiful! And huge!! Lots of nice areas to picnic, grill, swim, boat, jet ski or just enjoy the day. A Great time, priced right. And there's a military discount 🫡 (Thankyou to all who are/have served) Wish I had taken more photos but was having too much fun. What a lovely day! Will definitely be going back🤩
