We didn’t even stay. The pictures on the website were overly exaggerated. When I called last fall and asked how close it was to the lake I was told “Lewis & Clark Lake is a couple of blocks away from the cabins”. Across the highway and many blocks away is more accurate. The cabins had no outside covering, were surrounded by RV’s, and no privacy whatsoever. We had to forfeit our deposit but there was no way we were staying there.
Just stayed in the bungalow for 3 nights and it was perfect for my husband and me. Very friendly people and very nice area. We are already planning on coming back with the rest of the family next year.
We had an amazing stay at Midway Gulch. They upgraded us on our cabins for free to accommodate another guest who wanted our cabin (smaller) and got us into a bigger cabin for free. They keep their cabins super clean and they are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend staying here!
Comfortable cabin I'm in. I'm here for work and love being out in the sticks (somewhat). Neat, tidy, nice place nestled in woods above the lake. Approximately a one half mile walk to the beach.
Stayed at the Eagle Nest cabin with 6 friends. Enough space for 7. Great location for all kinds of activities in the Yankton/Louis and Clark Rec area. Cabin is neat and clean. Felt private. Beds were firm, could use and updating but good enough. Nice private fire pit on site. Camp ground looked crowded but we did not use that area. Would stay again because it’s good location and accessible to the area. FYI - there is a Virgin Mary shrine adjacent to campground. The church bells ring on the hour every hour during day light.
