From town, E 6 mi on Hwy 31/72 to Hwy 72, E 4 mi to Elk Lake Rd (near Turtle Creek Casino), N 3 mi to Park Rd, E 1 mi (E)
Very nice campground with reasonable rates right on Elk Lake. Good boat launch area too. Most sites are big enough for campers and/or tents. Spent all week here and the bathrooms and showers were both clean every time I used them. Very good job of keeping the place nice. Showers are 25 cents for 5 minutes. The sign states 7 minutes but I timed them and they vary from one shower to the next 5-7 minutes. Wood is also available on site and delivered to your camp all for $5 (10 decent sized pieces). I fully intend on returning to this campground.
Great small campground. Lots are very spacious. Staff is friendly and very helpful. About 2 miles of trails thru woods and some open fields. Not too hilly. A very nice walk. With 50 some sites the beach is just the right size. Will definitely add this campground to our list of visit again.
We enjoyed a Sunday night here, as we were traveling through the area. Clean, spacious and very quiet. The greeter at the entrance (Tripp) was professional, courteous and helpful. Thank you! (Full bars on Internet was a plus!)
Add internet for five stars. Update: When we departed the dump station was underwater and appeared to have overflowed. The staff person on duty seemed unconcerned and would report it to his supervisor in a few hours! I would think this should have been discovered before I pulled up (like maybe a walk around at start of shift?). And once reported it needed immediate action as it was checkout time. Improvement is needed in procedure/action. But it is a nice spacious campground on a beautiful lake.
Well maintained campground with about 50 sites, shower, bathroom, a playground, beach and walking trail. There are two loops where there are campsites with a beautiful lake view. Most sites in the inner circles are not private. There may be a handful of sites with the lake view that's more private with vegetation around.
