From jct US 131 & US 31: Go 1 mi N on US 31, then 4 blocks W on Lake St.
Located by waste water treatment plant. They encourage you to look for Petoskey stones but have a huge barrier of boulders to cross prior to another barrier of 6" river rock before you get to the water. The water had a slimy, green film. Not a fun thing!!
nice view of the water. sites are packed in there a bit. facility is adjoined to the waste treatment plant -- kinda takes away a lot of the value here.
SPENT THE DAY AT THE BEACH. NEED TRASH CANS FOR PICNIC AREA ON BEACH.
MET A NICE COUPLE FROM ILLINOIS ON THE BEACH LEARNING WHAT PETOSKEY STONES LOOK LIKE. THEY FOUND THEIR FIRST ONE! SO EXCITING!
