Poorly run. Stayed in June and left early after having my RV hit with rocks and a rather large piece of metal from the riding lawnmower. Bad enough that it was Sunday morning but even worst when the crew denied they did it as I am holding and showing them the piece of metal. But even worse than the timing and the denial, the guy using the power weed eater sliced my outdoor rug. I reported it to the front office but no response. Will not stay here again until there is new management.
The campground itself is quiet. Sites can be a bit unlevel, ours I had tongue of hitch all the way down to the ground. For a private campground I was very disappointed with the bathrooms and showers. Very not maintained. Only one of 2 men's showers were working. For a busy holiday weekend this should have been top priority to make sure they were clean and operational. Especially with the amount of yurts they have. Our firepit only contained a 15 inch car wheel which in my opinion was stupid. Close proximity to town and the island makes this an idea location. Note to owners, update the bathrooms and clean them up.
Don’t waste your time or money here. If I had the option to not leave a star I would! Love the location of the area, but that was it. We had reservations for a Friday to Monday stay. We arrived on a Friday night. We received the camp map and when asked where the bathrooms were, we then were told that it was going to be a long walk (which was fine) then was told that if we wanted to use the woods to do our business we could. We got to our site and there was no room for anything or to even turn around on foot. There was a lot of ruts on the site which made it very difficult to set up tents. Manager came to our campsite and was very rude to us. Just don’t go there!!
We enjoyed our stay in a yurt. The yurt was clean, and there was a bed, waters, and lights. The bed was amazingly comfortable! The camp ground is quiet and well maintained. They also provided a fire starter and a few logs for a fire. The restrooms were clean, and there was a dedicated shower for the yurts, which was nice. Highly recommend staying in a yurt at the Tiki RV Park.
