First off, I have to believe the people leaving these great reviews are those that live there all summer for $14.00 a day......... We pulled in to the campground after driving for 8 long hours pulling a 5th wheel and we looked at each other and said you got to be kidding me. The pictures of the campground are VERY deceiving. Not sure about the lake because all the seasonal campers are lined on the lake so in order to view it, you'd have to walk on others site. We pulled in and we sank a good foot into the wet lawn, we tried a few times to get into the site without hitting a neighbors camper. The sites were so close that no one could open their awnings or sit outside at the table, never mind have a fire.... you'd set the neighbors slideout on fire. Our neighbors slide out was 1 inch from my bedroom window. Just never camp here if you have any kind of expectations. I do have to say that the owners were really nice people.
When i went there the guy was really rude saying there was a sign that said 5 dollars to fish and 5 dollars to visit. I didn’t see no sign that said that. Don’t come here if your looking for spots to fish.
The staff were helpful, as well as friendly, and quick to answer any questions. The camping area was a good-sized spot. And the neighbors we had were nice.
Price is a little high and the web site to book does not always work. However, I love this camp ground. They treat you like family. They are adding more sites, activities and a haunted house. I would highly suggest checking this place out! I will definitely be staying here again!!!!
This hidden gem is a bit off the main road but located on the Rock River. Gorgeous view, great setting for a campground. Everyone here treats you like family and it's the epitome of midwest nice. Lots of things to do and they regularly have special events.
