With only two state and county parks on Lopez island, Lopez Farm Cottages & Tent Camping is a great alternative. The farm property offers lodging on the north end of Lopez Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. Offering a combination of Scandinavian inspired cottages, furnished wall tents, drive up vehicle sites, and traditional tent sites. The pastoral 29 acres brings together old growth forest, alder groves, open pasture and glacial rock creating a serene and picturesque landscape to unplug and reconnect with nature. In the summers, a flock of sheep live on our open pasture which is a peaceful and amusing pastime for guests.
We are located a 5 minute drive, 20 min bike ride, or 1 hour walk from the ferry terminal and an even shorter distance to the village where restaurants, coffee shops, and stores are located.

From the Ferry Terminal head north on Fisherman Bay for 2.2 miles and turn left onto the property.
Loved it. My wife and I stayed in cabin two for three days. Great location and beautiful property. Sheep in the meadow accompanied by curious deer, it doesn’t get any more bucolic than that. Do you like a quiet getaway? Then get here, take a short hike to a picturesque beach and don’t forget to take pictures. Walk through the forest to a view of beaches and islands. We hope to return some day to the Friendly Islands.
P.S. Owners of the property are wonderful.
Cottage was just like the pictures. Hot water and a comfy bed. Clean as can be and my wife found a book in the room she could not put down. Owners are welcoming and saw to our needs with no problems.
Exceeded my expectations. The cottage was cute and everything in there was just perfect from fire place to a very comfy bed. The owner surprised us with 2 cookies for the evening which were delicious and also with greek yughurts for in the morning. She gave us some great tips on places on Lopez Island and also suggested to go to Orcas Island for a day instead of Friday Harbor which was blast.
Oh my gosh!
Cute and cozy place.
My husband and I stayed in a cottage. It has a kitchenette, bed room and fireplace with cute full bathroom. Front porch with a back porch and picnic table with Adirondack chairs for your enjoyment. Host goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable.
Lovely people.
If you have any difficulty walking cottage #1 would be best because you can drive up to cottage. The other cottages are a little walk to, you can use a cute wagon to bring belongings to cottage.
Enjoyed stay very much.
Thank you!
Yummy scones , cookies and granola too. Mmm...
My wife and I stayed in cottage 2, just last week. We scored on the weather! Mid-50°’s in January?! Crazy. Plus there was no wind and the water was so calm. Even if it was a stormy two days, we would have enjoyed our time on Lopez. The cottages are great. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Going on the off season, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The only hiccup we had was that I had reserved a specific cottage and they put us in another one in the system. Not a big deal, but I wanted cottage 2 and everything got worked out. Be sure to check before you go, if it matters to you. It was probably just a fluke. The only other thing, had we known they didn’t have a drip coffee maker we would have brought one with us. The French press was fine though. I don’t mean to be picky. Just an fyi! We’ll be back for sure.
We stayed in cottage 3 for a quick overnight trip in the off season. What an AMAZING slice of paradise they've created! So serene and cozy. The gas fireplace was a welcome sight after using the hot tub in the rain. All details have been thought of, down to basic cooking utensils in the kitchen and even soft vs firm pillow options. The only thing they are still working on is pathway lighting in the off season since the solar lights can't keep up in the winter. Definitely recommend having a head lamp on hand if you arrive after dark (4:30pm these days). We really enjoyed meeting the homestead animals from chickens to kitties and could not soak up enough of the peace and quiet. Cannot recommend this property enough!!
