The San Juan County Fairground is located on Argyle Ave. From the ferry, turn left off Spring Street onto Argyle. A tile mural by local artist Chinmayo and the county's 4-H kids welcomes visitors to the Main gate on Argyle Ave.
I liked clean RV campsite. Toilet and shower room are clean. I appreciate camp care taker. The reason of 2 stars were it was very noisy at night. I think local ppl rent the facility at fairground and they put on very loud music until 11:45pm. Finally every one at the party by all 9-10 cars just before midnight.
At my 2nd night, other local people rent the fairground. Again, they were using loud music until 11pm. I was very surprised that this fairground has no "common rule" to be quiet after 10pm. These 2 nights experiences made me think I will NEVER come back here to sleep again.
It tis what it tis. There are a few sites with hook ups if you need a quick place to overnight. Additionally, there is a small park with a playground and also a skate/ bike park.
Cute well thought out fairground with fun and educational things for all ages. Combined from all the Islands, this fair is great for locals as well as visitors. Pictures a
Capybara, largest rodent, loving the Watermelon eating contest … he lost btw!
We have been coming to the island for over 20 years now and this was our first time staying at the fairgrounds. It was great! Especially with our autistic children and elopement being a problem, this place was wonderful! It is fenced and has a playground and skate park, along with restrooms, included hot showers and RV hook ups. Loved it!
Annual county fair going on. Different events on different days. Great arts exhibits. Good food vendor selections. Minimal rides and games for the youngsters.
