The trail was well maintained, pet-friendly and easily accessible. It’s not crowded and you’ll get a nice view of Lily Lake.

I loved this trail and took it from Oyster Dome to Max’s shortcut. This was relaxing, tranquil, and a beautiful hike.

I decided to go that extra mile from Oyster dome and so glad i did. Trail was tranquil and serene. Had both lily and lizard lake to myself the whole time. If you come in fall, i would recommend some waterproof boots though even though one can manage without. Lots of camping spots and also few fire pits.

I hiked this trail on the way to Oyster Dome, and we intended to pop by the lakes, BUT there was so much growth, the lakes looked more like a marsh. Aaaaand there were a lot of bugs.

I went in August and it’s been a hot summer, so maybe this was a one-off, but we did not find beautiful lakes. Just mud, bugs and marsh. 😆🤷🏼‍♀️

That being said, trail itself is awesome!!! Plenty of incline, switch backs, beautiful scenery and gorgeous overlooks!! We ended up at oyster dome. Stunning. Use bug spray and bring water and a snack. It’s a workout!
