This is a fun little out of the way spot to put in a canoe or kayak. There's a camp spot with a picnic table and an outhouse. During the warmer months the bus can be bad so bring your spray. I wouldn't recommend swimming as the muck is pretty thick.
Nice spot, always somebody camping, maybe living there? Ramp is more like steps than a ramp. Theres a toilet/outhouse, was toilet paper in there when I stopped in. There's latern posts, a couple of picnic tables and fire pits. Road leading down there is gravel, lots of holes but I had no prob getting there with 2wd.
If you are looking for a nice place to be a by your self this is the place to go.
Could be wonderful. Needs maintenance and sketchy at times. Remote location. Free camping.
I really like the location and that it's free! However people have Left Behind garbage lots of it!! I plan on going soon to help clean up and to donate a picnic table an hopes others well try and do the same. The outhouse is not that bad but definitely bring something to spray it down if you plan on using it. So we went back and made another functioning tent area we donated our table and changed it to the tree also cut out a safe grilling area and removed the glass! I hope whom uses it next passes on the good work and helps clean up the area more.
