This is primarily a campground for RVs/Campers - we were one of two tent campers on the entire property. A positive of that is that the bathhouses were always empty! Per other reviewers, the bathhouses could be updated - but I was amazed at how clean they were. No bugs, no spider webs, no gross unidentified "stuff" - - - very very clean. One of the two showers in the ladies bath didn't work - but as I mentioned, the bathhouse was always empty, so it was not a big deal. We stayed in the "bluff" sites - and they were very roomy and private - shady, and nice for tents. Having water and electric on site is a nice perk too. It was a quick and easy drive to the zoo, and there is a shopping center about 7 miles away that has anything you could need. We bought ice on the campground, and it was very reasonably priced - another nice perk. The campground is very well kept and the staff was extremely friendly.

If there was a 0 rating I would give that. This is the rudest place I have ever seen to their customers. Never will I return. Others there told me how rude they were to them as well. Don't waste your time or money.

The Halloween trick or treat last night was awesome. My Great grandson and all my family had a wonderful time. The hay ride was great and the campers and staff went all out with the decorations. I would like to thank each and every person that contributed to this experience. This campground is a great place , with great family atmosphere. Thanks again.

Wish I could give ZERO stars.

The neighbors are nosey, and are the most negative people I’ve ever seen. They discriminate against children and children with disabilities- they complain about literally nothing, but their staff (Mantience man) drives around fast drunk and has no regard for anyone other than theirselves. I would not stay here under any circumstances, and the place is ate up with ants. Just avoid this place unless you want to deal with nosey neighbors and careless staff

Though a little off the highway it was a great stopover in North Carolina. We would do it again.
