We had our first camping trip at Lanier in a prime waterfront spot over Thanksgiving. Even though the office was closed for Thanksgiving, the check in process and communication was great! Customer service and store staff were very welcoming and friendly. I rented 2 spots. The only issue we had was the refund of the 2nd bathhouse key deposit. Not sure why this was an issue but they were very apologetic and took care of it. Would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint would be the two times that I went to their showers to take a shower. The water was lukewarm too cold. Other than that it is a very nice place to stay. The staff and the maintenance staff are excellent. They are in the process of remodeling, and I believe it will be very nice when it’s done. Will definitely come back!

We took our travel trailer and stayed here for the weekend of 10/20-10/23. It was really pretty on the coast. The location is very convenient and close to restaurants and the beach. Surf City is a great, quiet place to get away.

The only things we had an issue with was the faucet provided for water leaked consistently and their shower facilities were too far for us to use. Our trailer is more than adequate but sometimes the extra elbow room is nice. The price did seem high for the amenities provided but it is a beach town.

Overall, I do recommend this for a nice place to stay for the weekend or longer.

The women's bathroom was unavailable for over 24 hours with no instruction for an alternative. When it was open there wasn't soap and only TP in one off the four stalls. Any attempts at communication were ignored. There were no returned phone calls or emails. We left two days early, due to the unfavorable conditions. We tried to discuss a refund for those two days with the management, but as I stated, there was no return communication. Don't stay at this campground! You will be very disappointed!
