Seasonal Campers Beware!
The owner, Jeremy, is decreasing the number of seasonal sites and changing them to either flip weekly or make year round. Lots of year round campers. It's well on its way to becoming nothing more than a trailor park.
If you want to take a shower...rent a hotel room and run up there ...because the water pressure sucks. Whenever there is an issue with water or electric the owner always blames it on your unit. Traveled Florida and 4 parks with no water pressure issues with our Class A, until we pulled into our seasonal site at Lakeview and bam..no water pressure. Took it to another campground in the bend of the Ohio River, bam...water pressure again. I was told by owner.."it's OK coming out of the faucet"! Duh! You must have an issue with your RV! Of course it is....we had water pressure everywhere else!!! LOL. Gotta have enough pressure to work a coach, not wash your hands!! Then was told, someone must be doing laundry, it decreases the water pressure (there are only 2 washers). Be sure to coordinate your shower with all the other campers doing laundry so your not left with shampoo in your hair or trying to fill your stock pot!
WiFi...it's there. You can see the connection. That's about it...take a hotspot or use your phone to stream with! It's a joke!!
The owner is a dictator who tries to use the campground rules to support his own bias agenda. The rules are not applied consistently to everyone in the campground. If he likes you and your thought processes align with his, the rules don't apply. BUT...if you happen to disagree with his beliefs...bam...he applies his rules, no formal warning, and your out! He will not listen and discuss issues and believes lies in order to fit his agenda. He ignores things he doesn't want to hear. He does not like to be contacted....so beware! Other seasonal campers have said they don't contact the owner in fear of being kicked out! Wow... that's really time away isnt it! FEAR! Was told we contacted him too frequently....would you if you couldn't take a shower? Are you a customer who has paid their seasonal fees and electric consistently? Have you improved the landscaping of your site on your own dime? Very uncooperative with any contact. Was told he was bothered with being contacted.
Rick, the camp manager, will take care of your daily issues but is held under a tight thumb by the owner.
Remember..this campground is located in the heart of conservative Ohio and this campground takes it to the next level. If you want to see a campground that allows bias....take a look at what flags you see and the ones you don't.
Do not express any difference of opinion, make it known with full timers, with those that have bias flags or they will be sure to bully and make up lies in order to cause DRAMA with Jeremy the owner.
Was there for 4 years as seasonal campers, made improvements to site with landscaping, mowed our grass to keep it neat and tidy and no issues were communicated to us until someone who disagreed with the fact that "All Are Welcome" in our home philosophy was realized. Made false claims in order to cause DRAMA!
Then...with no other notice of any rule infraction prior...bam you are out..no warning..no due process...where eviction laws followed?...lies put forth were believed by Owner due to other reasons besides rule infractions that weren't ever formally communicated!
"Make Lakeview Great Again" should be their tag line!
This rv park is quiet and peaceful. The owner is very helpful and kind. The rates are very well priced. The scuba adventure does have its attractions. However, they could be cleaned up a bit. The park does fill tanks for about the average price. And 15$ a day to dive per diver. The reason for the 3 is the limited space around the camping sites, although behind the sites do have some room. I'm very pleased with this RV Park I do recommend.
I would 1000% recommend visiting here everyone that worked there are sweethearts and will help you with anything you need or questions you have. I enjoyed taking walks, going fishing, swimming, boating, cooking out, and even going on walks. Everyday I would wake up and look at this beautiful view such a great rv park!!!!
