What a hidden gem. I loved it there. So quiet and remote. They had a rental trailer, pretty sure it was brand new. The guests were very friendly. The place was super clean. Steve the owner is a genuine great person and he cares about his guests. Make sure to book a tour with the UTVs they have from Tucson Adventure Rentals too. I will hopefully get back and stay longer next time
I’ve been staying with Steve at La Siesta campgrounds for more than 10 years now. It’s been amazing to see how much effort and time Steve and his crew popular place in the last 10 years. My family and I spend 6 to 10 weekends a year down there with him. He’s stills come out (even at 10:30 at night in the rain) to greet us and make sure we have everything we need for our stay. I can’t recommend him and La Siesta enough.
I stumbled onto this place after a long day on the motorcycle and couldn't have been more pleased. Steve (owner) was enjoying his personal time, but made no hesitation to help me out and make me feel like a welcome member of the family. I had a great night, enjoyed the surroundings, and amenities, but mostly felt good about it due to Steve's hospitality and kindness. He strikes me as a man who's heart is bigger than his business and that's someone I like to support.
I was turned on to this camp ground from a friend of mine that talked so highly of steven the owner, I can tell you first hand this place is a hidden gem! I booked a spot for my hunting trip in the area and wow this guy steven is such a nice and amazing host, the place is super clean and we loved the little clubhouse with TV area and shower facilities. I will be staying the whole month forsure. Thanks again for everything.
I camped here for 3 nights. It's a bit if a drive out there. Arivaca is small but good for basics. Steve is nice, friendly, and handles all problems quickly.
