Such a surprising delight😊 was driving through on a Sunday night. We first tried to stay at I-10 resort and they didn’t take anyone without a reservation on Sunday. Red Barn was open and ready to except us on the dark night. As soon as you drive in, it’s instantly felt like this property is loved 🥰. The staff is amazing and the barn was just wonderful to quietly get school work done. This will be a definite we when drive by again. Oh go check out tombstone too. Check out the bathrooms in the barn, someone added special touches to everything.

UPDATE- The owner heard about our experience (below) and was horrified. The situation has now been resolved ten times over. While we didn't end up staying at the Red Barn, through the exchanges we have had with the owner since we are confident in recommending the Red Barn as one of those rare businesses that have a genuine owner that is dedicated to providing the best possible service and customer experience. A++

My wife and I are cycling around the world for a children's hospice charity, the US being country #28. We have cycled all day to reach the Red Barn, as it states tents are welcome (most state tents aren't welcome). Upon arrival, a less than friendly manager informed us that rents aren't welcome in July and August in case it rains, and we sued the owner for getting wet (we are from Scotland and are used to getting wet, regardless, we have a tent capable to whatever the weather gods throw at us). That said, there is no rain forecast for the next few days, but the manager wasn't prepared to allow us to stay or speak to the owner,

We stayed for 9 months, for hubby's work. It is right behind the interstate. Between the traffic, rumble strips on the interstate and the train, that runs all night and feral cats running rampant, in the campground, I wouldn't recommend. Now for the money situation, Shannon knew that we could possibly leave, due to a transfer at work, She informed her host, after we paid for a whole month, there would be NO PARTIAL REFUNDS! So we lost 2 weeks of money, 300 dollars, because they are money hungry! We had to throw a2ay items that we stored under our skirt, under our 5th wheel, because Tammy, the guest host would turn on the outside water spicket and let it run all night! It was soaked and mildewed! The grass was cut, around the campers, either. They had 2 washers and 1 working dryer. Every time they had an event there, the residents into the park was inconvenienced! You can see the closeness of the interstate, long grass and the wet spot under our camper in my pics! Also the water is sucky well water with no pressure and aw3ful taste and smell and clogged up the sprayers in the kitchen and bathroom!

Lee is so kind, and knowledgeable about important things to see while in town. Just stopped in on our way across country. Planned to stay two nights, and ended up booking a third. The little on site shop has DVDs for borrowing, books for trade, and even some ice cream. Showers and bathrooms were spotless. Can't say enough nice things about the owner she really is wonderful. This RV park is 10x better than anything else we saw in town which looked like RVs squished like sardines into a parking lot.
