From Youngstown OH and West: Take I-80 East to PA exit 62 (Clarion). Make left toward Clarion. Continue straight for 11.5 miles to campground. The entrance will be on your right.
My family and I enjoyed the campground and activities. We went to mini golf, the arcade and pool. They have a nice camp store and shower house. The shower house was very clean. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. Definitely plan on camping there again.
Stayed here for 2 nights in late October. Last stay here was about 20 years ago. Campground was recently sold by it's private owners to a corporate entity. New manager took over in July 2023 and has struggled to secure staffing but seems to be trying. We heard that some of the favorite activities hosted by the previous owners were not continued by the new ownership this year plus prices for seasonal sites were increased rather steeply. All that being said, this is still a nice campground in a great location. The sites are relatively large, flat and able to handle the largest RVs. Full service sites include electric (some combination of 50A-220V/30A-220V/20A-110V), water, sewer, and TV. Very good WI-FI throughout the facility. There are also tenting sites and some cabins. The pool is fairly new and nice. Bathhouse in rear of facility also fairly new, clean and include hot showers. Onsite self-serve laundry available at reasonable per load cost. Fairly new kids playground. Conveniently located near Cook Forest SP, Clear Creek SP, North Country Trail trailheads, and Clarion (for Walmart, fast food, gas, etc.). Thought site prices for late October were a bit too high. Sites and roadways could use a new dose of gravel. Believe their dump station is closed. They plan to stay partially open over the winter months for the first time this year.
We have been camping at Kalyumet camp ground since 2015. Use to be a great place to take kids for the last camping trip of the year. Always had so much for kids to do. This year since Oasis Marina took over, things have gone down hill fast. We were there from October 2nd until October 9th. Columbus Day weekend my grandchild always come. Nothing for the kids to do this year, they did not want to take away from Clation feast. They use to have firetruck rides, train rides, and made popcorn on Saturday night. Nothing this year. Besides having nothing for the kids to do, the prices have doubled and going up again next year. They have ruined a very nice camp ground. We will not be returning. So sad
What a let down since this campground was taken over by Oasis Marina. Was supposed to check out on a Monday but manager said we had to pull out on Sunday because they had other people coming in that day for our site. I had to show her my email showing I was right. That didn't stop her. She came back later and said I didn't pay enough to stay till Monday so I had to find my receipt to prove her wrong again. She had the same information on her computer that I had but ruined my day by harassing me. Been camping there every fall since 2015. Now they're raising the site rates to price average people out. So sad. Used to be a family owned campground and was great but now is corporate owned and is awful .
Had not been to the campground in a few years VERY disappointing. When Mark and Becky owned the campground there was never an open site in October. They put so much time into making sure that things were just awesome for kids and adults alike. We were there for trick or treat this year and it was very empty. No haunted trail no party inside due to the rain, no zombie stew due to the rain, in past years rain or snow did not matter the fun went on. We had some of the best family memories there but things have certainly changed. Won’t go back nothing for the grandkids to do. There was an arcade that most of the games were out of order. Just a shame that a great campground went so far downhill without mark and Becky
