Spent a weekend camping here and had a very enjoyable time! It was our first time here and we were happy with our campsite(the grove) it had alot more space then the other tent sites and was located right beside the creek, very peaceful! But you have to reserve far ahead to get it!! Assistant @ the front desk was super nice and helpful, escorted us to our site...somebody was already set up there, but she took care of the mix up for us! I liked the individual shower houses and they had hot water for washing dishes👍🏼 Also there was a fish hatchery just up the creek from us, they emptied it while we were there so the creek was freshly stocked! Would be fun to come back!
Staying there is great, very relaxed and you really enjoy nature. For me, the best thing is that they accept dogs so I can enjoy it with my four-legged friend.
Despite the bad reviews,
We had a great camp spot! We stayed 2 nights and it was actually the more secluded camp site. I do see however that there are definitely cramped camping sites. The staff were friendly and there were flushable toilets. The location was so great because it’s just right above Jim Thorpe! We stayed in 12A, it’s the best one for the fall/winter because it’s behind the pool so you get to feel secluded!
Came up here and camped with the family. My camping neighbors were nice. The staff was extremely helpful when I had a small camper issue. The location is amazing right above Jim Thorpe convenient to many things. Definitely check out the hundred mile view which is not far.
