The ramp is terrible for larger boats and the lady in charge is obnoxiously rude. The front office staff was pleasant on arrival, it was a busy day on the lake, so I tipped them when I paid my launch fee. The obnoxious manager didn’t show her face until the end of the day when everyone was lined up to get out of the lake. We were waiting in line to load patiently with everyone else. When it was finally our turn we proceeded down the ramp the “management lady” randomly yells “hey sir he’s next” and points to a truck 3 vehicles back. I told her no he just pulled up and everyone has been waiting. She tells me “ok, I’ll make sure you never launch from here again.” I said fine with me and proceeded to load. While getting the boat cleaned off for the drive home we could hear her yelling and cursing at others with children present. (Clearly she has issues and probably why they are severely lagging behind their business competition) I would NEVER utilize nor recommend this place to anyone even if it was the last ramp on the lake. Your money is better spent next door at Red’s Cove! They have a REAL business operation in place with excellent management.
I love Joe's place and it's the only spot I'm aware of with a gas pump on the water. Medina lake is amazing!
This place has the craziness to be charging $10 per person and $5 per person to even fish! Online it's listed for $5 per person and $3 parking!!! We drove all the way there and had to turn around and go an hour away because I wasn't spending over a hundred bucks!!! HA! I better be getting free margaritas and childcare for that much! Loved the spot. Bathrooms were clean considering it was outside type facilities. Great fishing..and it was nice we were able to buy bait there instead of having to go somewhere else. Nice little swim spot. Go early for a good spot. We got there at 10 am and there was only 1 picnic spot near the water available with grill. By the time we left at 2 ...people were waiting to park and the swim area and bbq area was full. Will go back!!!
Great spot to rent a boat and have a fun day with the family on the lake. Went there today. Rented a party boat with the family. Had a great time. The prices weren't too steep and the staff was friendly. We were able to go fishing as well as do some swimming. Would definitely do it again in the future.
