A friend of mine invited me to go there with him last July & our 3 days there was just what the doctor ordered.

Our hosts, Mitch Pierce & Craig McDavitt, were extremely gracious & accommodating to us. The suite we were in was wonderful & extremely clean. The hiking around the nearby hills was breathtaking. It's proximity to both Athens, TX & Canton, TX was very convenient.

I'd go back there in a heartbeat!

Mitch and Craig are incredible hosts, and the Cafe is the best... Mitch is an awesome cook! We had an incredible four days of "down time" staying in the awesome Garden Suite and enjoying nature and the country quiet. Thanks, gentlemen. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful location. Room was adequate. Refrigerator but no microwave in this room. Bed was GREAT! Mitch is nice. Prepared a set of great burgers (extra cost but reasonable). Being Texas the pool (above ground) was very clean but warm. Beautiful grounds! A great place for a Pagan gathering. There are kayaks,a paddle boat and a canoe to use, though the paddle boat needed to be cleared. A very nice place. Needs a little attention but covid has affected everything service wise.

Circle J was hosting one of the men's weekend event from June 30 to July 4. This was my first time not only there but at a gay retreat, and was of course "the new kid on the block," therefore a little unsure but Mitch & Craig and the other guys made me feel like a part of "the crowd" very quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and this was "food for my soul." I look forward to my return the end of September. Double thumbs up. Just the right venue for me.
