Wonderful place in summer or winter. Fun place to swim, or get a nice walk in the woods.

We parked in the upper lot and did the walking loop around the brook. I measured it was just over 2 miles round trip. The trails are very well maintained and it looked like someone had been through recently to clean up debris/fallen trees etc. I noticed a lot of additional trails we could have taken that I hadn’t seen in previous trips. Indian Brook is for Essex residents only in the summer and there is someone sitting at the gate checking for passes. But this time of year (winter), anyone can visit. It’s too bad I can’t come back in the summer because it’s a great place to swim!

Our first hike there, and in the winter no less. Beautiful well marked trail, not a difficult trail, water views throughout. We were able to get off the trail and get down to the water or ice in this case. We will definitely come back in winter and summer as well.
