Truly, the saddest place I have ever had the displeasure of staying. The location and patrons seemed fine, but the establishment needs to be burned. I don't know where the room in the pictures is actually located, but I can assure you it is not in this rat hole. We were there in the cooler months (you know, that one or two) and it was freezing out. Unfortunately, the tiny gas wall heater similar to the one that USED to be in my grandmother's 100-year-old house was just not doing the trick for me or my dog even curled up at the end of the bed in front of it. In the morning, the clerk tried just walking in to "check for damage" caused by my pet, but luckily the lock on the door DID work. Funny how they were concerned with damage we had caused while the mirrors were broken, obvious needs of paint and a door just north of completely broken. If it hasn't been at least weeks since your last bath I would avoid using the shower. Out front laid across the picnic tables were comforters dragging and rubbing in the dirt. Curious. I am an advocate of working women so I won't complain about the "permanent" guests providing services; however, I do recommend maybe bringing our own cheap comforters to lie on and cover with while visiting. All in all, it's better than sleeping in your car...I guess. Yes, it has been a while since my stay. Still horrified.
Was looking through my mom and dad’s wedding book from 1959. This envelope was in it with the name of a motel and an address. I put the name of the address in Google maps to see what kind of location was there now. I was strangely delighted to find that this place is still here. Neat.
