I want to start off stating all of the positives. The staff at this campground are truly fantastic and make you feel so welcome. Even the campers who live here are very nice. The lake is beautiful to kayak on and the kids really enjoyed swimming. Our camp site was beautiful and close to everything we needed and they upkeep on the grounds was amazing. The only reason why I did not give them a 5 stars was the bathroom/showers. They were horrific! No toilet paper or hand soap. The shower curtains are covered with mold. The showers itself have mold/mildew and a strong smell. The mats on the ground in the showers are also nasty. If you accidentally bump into the walls in the shower, the paint will peel off and stick to you. The water pressure is more like a Trickle with how it was Jerry-rigged. They need to seriously renovate the shower/bathroom as it is a health and sanitation violation. I am allergic to mold and ever since having to go in there and showering , I have been having an allergic reaction and experiencing symptoms. We would surely go back for a day pass to see but I don’t think until those showers are updated, we would go back to camp overnight which is a shame because literally everything else was perfect. But they are just that bad!

I have been here for a week. I was hesitant at first, because of bad reviews from years ago. I am so glad I ignored them. I can honestly say I haven't been to the bathhouse, so I can't give an opinion. But this is this best campground I have ever stayed at. The lake is clean, no water shoes needed. I have not seen trash laying out. Even memorial day weekend...by 11pm it was Quiet as a church mouse. The owner and staff are constantly working, polite, and helpful. Yes, there are alot of permanent people...who crash at 10 pm. And the permanent lots are lived in. Not dirty or dangerous. The lake is amazing...a hidden gem. The people are just as amazing. Ignore the old reviews, yes this is a new owner.

GO. SOMEWHERE. ELSE. This place is revolting. The filthiest and loudest campground I have ever been to. This is NOT a recreational campground. It's a trashy residential RV park with tent spaces that it seems no one, except us, regrettably, uses. If it was lovely (like the pictures) at one time...that time is long gone. The junk heap at the entrance should have been a giveaway...but sadly, I brushed it off. Cars, revving motorcycles, and pick-up trucks constantly visit and leave the "campground" down a long gravel road all night long (literally the entire night), so don't expect to get "lost in nature" or any sleep. Rowdy residents roaming around didn't help, and drove my dog nuts. I would never bring kids here. We picked the campground because it said it had flush toilets and showers. Showers and toilets are a luxury for me when camping - I'm not picky. However, these were DISGUSTING. In the ladies room, 2 of the 3 toilets were completely filled with black sewage, which judging by the smell, had been there a long time. The third toilet was caked in brown filth. The stall doors were plastic curtains, and one of them was even missing that. The showers were covered in rust, grime, and peeling paint. I didn't even try to see if they worked. The water from the faucets came out brown. Not only was there no toilet paper, paper towels, or soap, but most of the dispensers for these items had been pulled off the wall. There's no main office, or any staff to be found, so it's not like I could inform anyone or ask for any. The windows were trash bags stapled over window screens, and they did nothing to keep out every kind of insect and crispy creature you could imagine. I would have much preferred pit toilets, so long as they actually had toilet paper. So I paid $30 to be kept up all night by passing trucks and praying my bladder didn't burst. My worst camping experience ever.

Very rude men keep up the landscaping on this park. I came to visit with a few friends and there was no sign saying where to park or where to go to pay the entrance fee. I came to this lake all the time growing up and was always greeted upon entry and told where to park. This time there was no one ANYWHERE. We didn't think anything of it and parked near where all the people camping were parked as well. After about an hour of swimming we were approached by a soft spoken gentleman who was very kind and explained to me where to park, how much to pay, etc. I thought paying 10$ per adult to swim in a lake that hosts no activities was a tad ridiculous but it's not my business and I don't make the prices. Anyways, we're going to move the car and park in the designated area as we're being approached by 2 older men on a golf cart. They were very confrontational upon finding out it was our car parked there DESPITE the fact that we told them we were moving it and explained that there was no one to direct us as well as no signs. He starts to question our intelligence and continues to follow us on the golf cart exclaiming how hard he worked to grow that grass! Well, maybe a "don't park on grass" sign might've helped out a bit! Or even a sign pointing to where we were supposed to park to begin with! Him following two young women to their car just to scold them came off as very odd and almost reached the line of harassment. We apologized and explained we had already been talked to by the owner, yet he continues to be irrational and rude. This is not how you run a business. No wonder this park has slowed down so much in the past years. People don't want to pay 10$ per adult just to be called unintelligent and feel harassed by your staff members. I am very disappointed in the way this situation was handled. We felt so uncomfortable that we got the rest of our belongings and got out of there.
