The recreation on the Henry 's Fork of the Snake River is endless. It starts at Big Springs in Island Park and meets with the South Fork of the Shake River south east of the Menan Buttes.
They say it's a blue ribbon fishing area but, I couldn't catch a fish to save my life. My grandpa used to guide for tourist fisherman here back in the 1930's but I clearly didn't inherit any fishing genetics. I did however learn to fly. Now I can "hock loogeys" at fisherman while I fly over head. Just kidding, awesome spot
Some of the best trout fishing in the world. A stretch that we kayak at least five times this summer. The family loves the river for fishing, camping, picnicking, and just a beautiful views.
