The campsite needed to be mowed. The grass was high. The fire pit had garbage in it and wasn't cleaned out. Not a park ranger in sight the entire weekend.

There was a large party with extremely loud music well after quiet hours.

The campground isn't what it used to be.

Do better!

Winton woods has a great location, the spaces are pretty spaces out between each camp site. We had one that backed up to the lake which had privacy bushes behind us and the trees where perfect for hammock. The trees however were infested with termites which I jad to spray around the tree to keep them there!

Also if your looking for a quiet camp ground this place is NOT it. Kids playing and yelling at 6am and people playing music/bass at 1am-2am in the morning.

So, I gave this campground 3 stars. Rooms I related to the lot, service was at the camp store and amenities in the campground and location was proximity to the area.

Main concern is how over priced the campground is now. Full hook ups with concrete pads should not be $60 a night for the limited campground amenities available. No pool, only one kids area, small at best. It is clean, some sites are very close together and others aren’t. Bathhouse is ok. It appears to maintained throughout the day but overall seems a little run down and aging. Not great.

This is not a State park but a Hamilton County run campground. The remainder of the park does offer additional amenities at an a la cart/per amenity basis.

Wonderful campground. Stay a week or more every year when visiting our daughter that goes to UC. Convenient location. Wonderful park system around it. Nice sites. Mentioned to them that the shower curtains had mildew on them and the shower rings were completely rusted. Voila....new curtains and rings within 24 hours!!! Fantastic job! They have always had recycle bins but now offer composting buckets to borrow and dump when checking out! Love it! We were there for 10 days and headed to Cowen Lake to camp for another week. Was able to dump my recycles AND my compost! Will always stay here when in the area. Only request now is for a kayak launch in the campground.
