Not as conservative and modest as we were hoping for, based on camp rules. Many girls wearing short shorts and other inappropriate clothing as well.
I went to Cedarbook's Stony Glen location in Madison, Ohio every summer since second or third grade. It is such an amazing experience and a great opportunity to grow your faith in God immensely. The staff is a blessing and the prices are more than reasonable. I highly recommend sending your daughter or son to this camp as I would my own.
As a previous camper and counselor at this camp, I recommend sending your child here as a camper! I do not recommend signing your child up for the CILT program. The CILT program is biased and needs change.
Kids have been going here multiple years now and they always have a great time. It's a fantastic campus with a lot of caring staff and is well run.
All three of our children have attended Cedarbrook Camp of Ohio for several years. Our older two went through the Camper In Leadership Training (CILT) program and our youngest will when she's old enough. It is a fantastic program, that teaches the kids a lot of leadership skills, how to teach, and work with the campers.
It's a very intense program, but it is worth the time invested. Our oldest has been a counselor since graduating the program and our son graduated this past summer and will be a counselor this year.
The campers have a great time. They have multiple activities to chose from, all lead by staff that have been well-trained and care about the campers. They learn Biblical truth in a way that's meaningful and still fun. Our oldest had gone to another church camp before learning about Cedarbrook, and it's so much better!
