The newly renovated park is great. The playground doesn't lack for amenities. The difference between a four and five star rating is the forest trails available. Great for dogs, great for kids, and nice for a quiet break in nature for adults.
Quiet park. Kinda old playground equipment. Nice for community events like the Haunted Forest at Halloween. I've seen tents, maybe for boy scout outings. I've also seen police/troopers parked here from time to time, not sure why.
Update: New, very fun, playground equipment was installed. Not so many community events since covid, but hopefully that will change soon. Cops sit here to patrol the park and possibly catch speeders along Clark State Rd.
Always enjoy bringing my kid here. Usually it’s not busy and there’s a lot to climb on. They have nice walking paths and there are shelters available.
I love this park. It is perfect for a 30-40 minutes walk with my dog. I love the three areas for that. At the bottom of the park there is a loop, then a small forest area with a short natural trail and another paved path. There is a small pond. There are also restrooms. It is a clean and quiet park, not soo busy, or if busy it's mainly in the playground area.
