Good place for a walk run or bike ride. Part of the Erie to Ohio trail. This section of trail is decent. Packed earth and Sandy gravel path mostly. There are a few sections that are really old asphalt which are rough to ride on. Good asphalt pavement starts about 40 mins bike ride north along the trail. There are some quaint little towns you go through. There is a port-a-john here, looks like it's taken care of regularly (it can never be often enough). The lot is never too busy so unless there's an event you'll have free parking. Decent access to the river, plenty of people fishing when it's nice out.

I biked 8 miles from Nimisila Reservoir Campground following the Buckeye Trail Blazes on the telephone poles. Good sized parking lot with a porta-potty. The Ohio Erie Canal Towpath just of the lot and well suited for road bike going north to Canal Fulton or south to Ernie's Bike Shop. The towpath trail is closed at Ernie's Bike Shop south for the Army Corps of Engineers doing work on the levy. Alternate route is to take Lake Ave west, Earl Rd NW then 17th St south to the Sippo Trail.

It's generally good but the portal bathroom never has hand sanitizer and a lot of questionable people transit this corridor and I would just keep an eye out but otherwise it's safe to hike and bike.

Beautiful trail, enough room for hikers and bikers. I identified a ton of beautiful plants (and fungi) I haven't seen other places!

Typical urban trailhead for the towpath. Not very well maintained in cleanliness and the path is rather urban and passes through people's backyards and by highways.
