This is a very nice park. The restrooms are separate from the shelters / lodges but are well maintained. The trails are not paved and can be quite hilly. The lodge is a very nice facility
We only saw a small part of it but we had a nice walk in the woods and found the nature center. We will explore further on our next visit. The weather was not cooperating.
The building itself is very nice. But oh my god to the hell no with the restrooms! What is this 1492? You are better off going in the woods for better sanitation. If I would have known I would have brought hand sanitizer at minimum. Doesn't matter how nice the one building is if you cut corners like that. Will never go there again.
Review is for lean-to camp sites: vault toilets were decent, structures were sturdy, weatherproof and cozy. Nearby pavilion and playground were clean and well maintained. we camped with dogs and everyone who hikes through had their dogs leashed so we had no troubles.
A nice several hundred acre park with easy well marked trails. It is one of the Geauga County Metroparks although almost in Lake County. It's about a 45 minute drive from Cleveland.
