Park itself was good. Sites are well taken care of. Reason for lower rating is because of all the road noise. Park is closer than thought to 422 so traffic noise was a constant all night.
All four seasons,The place is clean and well maintained.... Great place for many activities,Star gazing is definitely one of them.
Great areas to camp out at. Two really nice pavilions. A cabin is available that can sleep a lot. Trails are nice and not too difficult. We have used this park for Cub Scout events and really enjoy it. Just wish the lake was still there.
Primitive camping. Our lean to "J" was surrounded by woods and privately tucked away from the other campsites. Site had a picnic table, fire pit with grill/grate, charcoal grill and plenty of room for our dog and children to run around. There were tall pines around our site which were perfect to tie our hammock and clothes line on. The ranger stopped by and was very friendly. Nice and quiet area tucked into the heart of Amish country. A short walk away from vault style bathrooms, picnic pavilion, ball field, and trash containers. Extremely quiet clean well kept park. Remember to bring garbage bags to pack your trash out :)
It's a quite park to get away to immerse yourself in greenery. Not much to it, they have a Pavillion, seating, and camping area. It could use a little more activities or a little better scenery within the park.
