Nice little area! Cold water was really nice in the summer. We didn't pay for any of the attractions (Wibit water park, kayak/paddle board rentals, etc.). But just the lake and trails are definitely worth the $10 parking fee.

Beautiful views! Looks like some great fishing too for some trout and others. Nice hiking trails as well!

We came for the first time just to check out the lake and ended up hiking the trail. Its really beautiful. It is stroller friendly, although I think a jogging stroller would be best there. Its about 5 minutes away from Ruidoso. If you’re allergic to bees be careful, there was a good amount of bees around the parking lot, not so much on the trail itself.

This is such a beautiful place! We started to do one of the long hikes but kids had other ideas. Did a simple loop but the views are amazing!

It's not the best place to fish. A lot of people are letting their kids throw rocks in the water, not 10 feet from you. Very loud... loud talking, kids yelling. Still beautiful area, especially if you want to go hiking.
