I only recently decided to stop here and check it out.... hiked the yellow trail. Aside from it being a lot of mowed grass (and rather wet) it's not a bad hike. Wide trail, not difficult and it has a lot of exercise stations set up along it. The trail starts up at the parking lot near the admin building. Great sunset views from the parking lot just past that towards the red barn too.
Beautiful hilly park with tons of trails! As the name would suggest the views are amazing and if you get a chance the zipline looks like a blast. (I did not try it but flew my drone following someone who did) lots of wide mown oaths/trails up and down the rolling hills. Suprise views here and there make it for a lovely visit.
We only rented shelter #2 for a baby shower. It was a very nice location but the signs coming into the park are very confusing so we had to add our own signs for our guests to find the shelter.
We had 2 roasters to keep food hot and we kept tripping the breakers. For the nice shelter, you should be able to have things plugged in without the issues we had.
Brand new beautiful camping area. Plenty of room between campers. Gorgeous area! We stayed in #40 where we backed up to the city view below. Security on the weekend, very quiet during the week. A shuttle comes to the campground to take you to the zip lines, pool, etc. We really enjoyed staying here and is very worth it!
I called to see about getting a place to stay for one night. Well, I didn't realize that they don't have a hotel. Maybe it's just me but, if I had a park as big as Grand Vue, I would have a hotel. The only thing they have is cabins and they don't rent them out for one night and they were too expensive for me. It's probably a great place to go on vacation in the summer if you have the money but, not in the winter. I would get bored just sitting in a cabin when it's too cold go outside, if they had a hotel with a pool and other things to do,it would probably be worth going to if you needed a place to stay for a night.
