Best RV Park we've had on our trip. We had a pop-up tent and used a no service site. Site was nice, calm and we slept like babies. Would return!

Well It started out OK, talked with a Robin to make the reservations and she was very nice.

We came in on Sunday and left Friday, we enjoy mid-week camping.

It would have been nice to allow a tent on our site for 2 days, instead of putting us close to the “tenting area”. The rv sites we were put in, were very small and short. I informed her of the lengths and they barely fit. We talked with some other campers about that and there comment was “why did they put you there? We have bigger available.” We drove around later in the week and even saw a tent in an “RV” site closer to the office. I guess the “rules” don’t pertain to everyone. We just wanted to be together with our whole family.

We were there all week and there were other larger sites available if the would have allowed a tent for 2 nights(we would have paid the normal cost).

The roads through the complex were rough and ungroomed. Please grade your roads.

Halfway through the week they decided to mow, which is normally fine. But she sat on the mower pointing to us to move ALL of our stuff so she could invade our space… how RUDE! That should have been done after we left on Friday to get it ready for the next people. I have been camping for over 30 years and NEVER had that happen. She could have got off at least and helped more tables, chairs and everything else.

The complex is kind of rundown some, really need to fix the door handles for the entering the pool.

We liked the lake, we did some fishing and tubing.

We like the area and would like to give it another chance. Some things need to be addressed.

The other campers we talked with all week were very nice.

We love Golden Eagle because it has alot of great things to offer.Owners Mike and Connie are respectable honest down to earth people and treat everyone as family.Amnities are endless like swimming pool, basketball, playground, baseball, volleyball. Cabins to rent and so much more. Families at the campground are always more than willing to help with anything you need. So weather its watching the sun come up or go down both are a sight to see at Golden Eagle.

This was our second and last year of staying in the cabins. We stayed in cabin 2. I have to say, these cabins definitely need some updating. The showers are tiny and moldy which was pretty gross to shower in. Had to wear shower shoes on the bathroom floors, although they looked clean, they were old. You have to bring all of your own tolietrys, paper products, linens, hand towels, kitchen towels etc. They do inform you of this in the paperwork. The cabins are expensive and not worth it. The grounds are lovely and the pool is decent. My family enjoyed fishing, boating, and taking walks around the campground. The staff are friendly. Overall, great place to camp but we will not be staying in the cabins again, its just too expensive for what you get which is not much. They need updating and no carpet.

I have Been going to Golden Eagle for years now and I just have to say that they are the best! Very accommodating. I have stayed in both the A frame cabins and the Duplex down by the beautiful lake. They have always been clean. The views are amazing! You can fish right off the docks. Close to town but you still have that "country feel". Very friendly staff. Mike and Connie are always so friendly.
