Nice size campground but expensive and they nickel and dime you for everything! Campsite came with two wristbands I had to pay an extra $6 per night to allow my son to stay with me and if you want guests to visit during the day they get to pay too!!! I tried messaging before staying here as they offer text communications however they were rude and said look it up on our website and app, it was a simple question about activities on a certain day and app was not working well on my phone. We had friends that wanted to stay on our site in a two person trailer that was smaller then a tent, they refused to allow that and were also very rude to my guests. Overall we had 5 camp sites and plan on making this an annual trip but don’t think we will be coming back here. Our camp site was very sandy and dry not much grass. Fire pits do not have cooking grates. The primitive camp site appears to be secluded and nice private area but you get to smell the dumpsters the entire time, we kept looking to see what was dead in the woods but it was just garbage. Is you want to purchase wood it’s a hefty $7 for a few small pieces. It appeared the kids loved the pool and arcade area and there a good amount of young kids around buzzing through on bikes and scooters. Although there were supposedly activities we did not see them going on. There was a food truck on Friday night which was nice so that we did not have to cook after setting up camp. Showers were $.25 to use but water stopped in middle of shower and we did not have another quarter, remember to bring quarters; not sure why they need to charge to take a shower when you’re paying the hefty camp fees in the first place.
The positives: The grounds were clean as in litter free, fire pits cleaned out ready for use, roads in good condition, site numbers labeled nicely, there was a convenience store, arcade, and a pole barn you could reserve for events. If you enjoy quiet this campground was respectfully quiet most people lights out by 10pm
We love cannon falls campground! After 2 seasons of owning our camper and multiple trips we are wanting to make it our seasonal spot! Unfortunately, we are on a waitlist, but we will continue to come even as a weekender spot. My family has been able to get to know a little about the owners, and they know us and greet us and have so much fun all summer long.
Nice family run campground. Conveniently located to several small towns. Did not use the amenities other than the laundry room but there were several options for families. Plenty of room to walk the dog away from campsites. Enjoyed our visit
Shout out to Cannon Falls Campground for a super fun quick weekend trip!!! They had early Halloween trunk or treat 🎃 costume and site decor awards with a tractor hay ride! 🚜 Clean bathrooms and accommodating owners. We forgot a grill grate and they happily delivered one to our site. Will be back for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was our first trip to Cannon Falls Campground. I randomly selected this location to use our new RV. This was our first family trip in the RV.
We had an incredible time! The people were amazing, both staff and patrons. They had a Halloween event and we all ended up dressing up and handing out candy to the young kids and meeting other families we couldn’t have picked a better place for our first outing and will definitely be going back at least a couple times a year.
We never had to deal with any noise, pastor, reasonable time and the people were extremely respectful. It’s a beautiful campground and being so close to the cities, It really doesn’t get any better. You wouldn’t know that you aren’t five hours up north. I really can’t say enough about this place and I can’t wait to go back!!
