The campground is considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the camper's basic needs. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. Also, vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available.
All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee.
Highlights: Hungryman Campground is located 10 miles south of Itasca State Park. The campsites sit on a pine covered rise above Hungry Man Lake. Boat access are provided on Hungry Man Lake.
From Park Rapids take State Hwy. 71 (N) 10 mi. to Becker Co. 41; turn left (W) 1.5 mi.; turn right (N) 1 mi.

Nice campsite with very few mosquitos and lots of chipmunks. It was full up so get there early. Greta for moto camping!
Nice quiet place on week days. Weekend can get busy. Lake side site is nice. Not much for fish. Lake freezes out some winters. Has pit toilets and hand pump well water. A few sites large enough for RV's.
