The park is clean, with food fishing and fun! You can order pizza and have it brought hot and FRESH to your camper. The shower rooms are clean. And everything you need is in driving distance as well. They also have the best internet I have had while staying on the road. Do not miss this place!
I have travel the whole country (45 states) and I have never ever written a negative review but this place does not have hospitality for families. They treated us like we were never welcomed. In the morning they didn’t even come to us they charged us additional because they said we apparently had too much people which doesn’t state anywhere on their signs or in there policy manual, nor the handbook with picked up from them with the rules n guidelines stated. Instead of them refunding us they said we had 13 mins to leave for check out, then said 12 mins an min later after we waited 10 mins for there manager just to tell us that. Not showing us any reason for why they could extra charge instead of accepting what they did was unjust they deviated to kick us out. We had only one rig (skoolie) which followed the guidelines & Manuel. And an tent which was for the kid to have space. They said they could charge us for the tent but also doesn’t state it in the manual. Instead of them communicating properly they threaten to make us leave without an timely matter. We had 2 babies and a few kids. We were being peaceful and respectful. We played music as we cooked our food and waved and gave peace signs to everyone passing by. The campground staff knew they were in the wrong and instead of apologizing they got their feelings hurt and decided to put their frustrations on us because we did no wrong. The original lady we spoke with said it’s in the handbook and said it’s under #2 and we read it then out loud to her and it does not state we were breaking any rules. We said is this bad business and she said maybe it is bad business. We waited on manager and she came with an attitude and said if y’all get packed up in 13 mins then we will refund you and she said with an sassy voice you have 12 mins left to pack and we will refund the additional charge, but it doesn’t look like y’all be able to, and k said how do you know that, you don’t know us, we’re quick. We gave them peace signs n heart and love kisses but they decided to just call the cops. We packed up in time but they had an cop at the gate waiting and he actually let us go because he knew the campground at Forsyth was being unright, unjust, unfriendly, and being petty wasting everyone times. The lady in the red hat is the manager. The campground is fine but the staff & workers treated us so unkind and definitely don’t let your friends and family be treated the same way.
The older management was racially motivated against my mixed family. We rented for a night and was gonna leave in the morning. We showered and slept. I the morning as we were getting complementary coffee we were told that we had 12 minutes to pack up our things and leave. We asked why and were given no policy or a contractual obligation. And we scrambled to pack our stuff up and made it to the front gate at 11:04am they wanted us gone at the new time of 11:00am. And they called the police on us before we could even check out. The police were kind and understanding. The management was also promoting political rhetoric as we were leaving.
We’ve only been here for a few hours and we’re very happy with it. Location is not far from the exit but in the country not city (love that ). We were given cookies and gifts at check in, the employees are so nice, the spots are spacious, there’s a gate at the entrance which I appreciate a lot and the bath house is nice and clean. Also we went to the Medieval Times show which is about an hour north which was great. Highly recommend this park.
I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this place for anyone to stay. If I could give 0 stars I would; this has been the biggest headache ever. Most of the staff are unkind, creepy and rude. They falsify/add on charges and make you pay extra after already paying and checking in. There was blatant, racist profiling, discrimination and unkind interactions toward my African-American friends and family. There was broken glass everywhere and the door on the fire pit was broken which is extremely dangerous and definitely not kid or pet friendly. When kindly confronted in the main office as to why there were extra charges and can there be proof as to why these were being added, the property manager kicked us out and called the police. (Even after we kindly obliged and paid these mysterious “extra fees”). They leave the bathrooms cracked open at night (despite having door code locks for safety purposes) and a few of the male staff made many of the young women and teenage girls very uncomfortable. PLEASE save yourself, your family and your friends from this awful, uncomfortable experience. The police were very kind and said they deal with this kind of bullcrap from this location and their staff more than they’d like to. Not sure how they’re still open and running at this point. The people who run this place are not good people. 10/10 STAY AWAY.
