Hidden Gem! Beautiful, quiet park. Stopped by for a few days of tent camping. Ended up staying five nights. Great time fishing. Have seen big and little alligators, multiple racoons, armadillos, a river otter, lizards, and a billion mosquitoes.
Had a great stay at Lake Arbuckle. It’s not particularly quiet and spots are first come,first serve but there was plenty of space for tent camping. Most spots have a fire ring and picnic table. There are also spots available with power and water. There is a public boat ramp in the campground.
What a wonderful campground!! Roger and Angie are so nice, friendly, and do a wonderful job making this a great place to visit!! We came for a quick one night stop and stayed a week! We were also lucky to get the best spot facing the lake and beautiful morning sunrise!!
