If I could give a 10 star review I would!! This is our favorite place to camp. The grounds are very well kept, the staff is very friendly and the activities are amazing for kids and adults. We know coming here we are sure to have a good time!!!

We camp all over michigan at various parks, but every year we return at least twice! The owners are great, they really care about their visitors, and the atmosphere is what camping is about! The kids love the weekend activities but it's not too much where parents can't relax -like other campgrounds we've been too. We can't wait to return and highly recommend others check the campground out!

I have been a loyal camper for two years camping 4-5 times per season. Last night we experienced the worst camping experience brought on by a large group of approximately 20 people on one site and the total lack of disregard from owner and staff. The group arrived at 5p and were extremely loud and were shining bright lights at other campsites. We asked staff to have then not point light at our site and the staff did handle that situation. They continue with the loud talking and partying and we again asked staff to have them quiet down. They did not quiet down so we turned out music up to which we were confronted by the owner to turn our music down. We complied and asked the owner to talk to the group. He stated they were monitoring them but as soon as the owner was out of sight, the group went back to party. After 11 p which is quiet time, they continued to which I attempted to contact the office with no answer. I then used the text messaging system and repeated texts went unanswered. I then walked to the offending site and asked them politely to tone down their voices because they were waking my handicapped child. As I walked away, someone yelled a threat to me. I again texted the owner to no response from him. I called law enforcement to handle the situation. I had to cut my camping trip short due to this. The reply from the owner was I'm sorry your had a terrible night and we will refund your fee. Check out time is at noon. So they basically kicked us out due to complaining about a group who disobeyed the camping rules. The owner has become greedy and only singled us out because clearly the group paid more to stay than we did. In the past, he dealt with unruly behavior and did not tolerate obvious rule breakers .

Some of the campsites are fantastic. While others are pretty bad. It rained and all the water decended into the back camps next to the pillow. They need rocks or something put back there.

We had some troubles we don't normally have and ended up being stuck for an hour extra. Instead of being friendly and working with us, some older woman came around and let us know checkout was at noon. She was unpleasant and let us know we will be charged. Well unpleasent woman, Thank you for your charge. Here is your garbage review. Do better..

The Good: Beautiful, clean campground with lots of trees. We had a full hook up spot that was clean and shaded. The new owners are trying to keep the place family friendly. They have a no marijuana rule which we really appreciate because it’s the first time we’ve camped since it was legalized that we didn’t have to deal with marijuana smoke being sucked into our camper a/c at night as we tried to get ready for bed. They have a maintained pond with lots of obstacle course type stuff in it. Nice little beach too. The camp store is clean and one of the best I’ve ever seen. Showers are clean.

The Bad: No outside firewood rule. It’s a bummer but that’s the rule. The store is too expensive. Sites are small.

The Ugly: Dance party night invites behavior issues. The drunks start up dancing, singing, yelling and fighting. A few campsites reeked of marijuana even though there is a rule prohibiting it. Even some of their season campers were smoking it. The kids take advantage of the confusion of loud music and drunks and start causing problems yelling, cussing and being obnoxious. I think a lot of problems could be curbed by ending the dance party at 9. Besides, it’s camping. Not a bar. If you want a family friendly place you need to create a family friendly atmosphere no matter the hour or day of the week.
