Located 3 miles north of L'Anse on the Skanee Road.
Have camped here for 4 years during the Aura Jamboree and love this place. Steve. Mike, and Mark do a great job maintaining the grounds, lavatories, and all facilities in top condition.
Great location, clean camp ground and everyone we came across was polite and welcoming. Our family will be back!!!
First time camping here site #12. Beautiful area. For some reason I thought the campground was on Lk Superior. It’s not. You have to cross the road to the lake and a teeny, tiny beach for the campground🙁.The campground is very clean. We spent most days (all 4 ) exploring the area. Agate Beach, Abbaye Point, Ontanogan (sp) Houghton, Hancock. Our campsite was right out in the open, very small and tight with our neighbor. No trees, no shade. And dogs barking and whining. Can’t believe this is allowed. We have a dog and she’s nice and quiet. It can become extremely annoying. Nice acceptable surroundings just not our vibe!
Pulled in. Barely made it back there. No one in the office. called and called, no answer. So just went on to our site. There was no way at all we were going to fit in this spot. Ended having no choice but to leave. Only tents or small campers should camp here. Had to pay in advance, so lost all that money. It is a pretty area. But I do not know how they get away with this.
