From jct. of Gilbert Rd & Hwy 87 (N Beeline Hwy): Go 8 3/4 mi E on Hwy 87 (N Beeline Hwy) to Fort McDowell Rd, then 4/10 mi S on N Fort McDowell Rd to park.
Spent two nights here. All sites are back ins. Recommend unhook tow vehicle by office. Plenty of space and out of the way of others. Sites are very wide making backing in easy. Full hookups worked great. Site was level and paved. Saw night security patrol roaming park. Only con is there are a few add on charges to be aware of since this being a reservation. Road to park is rough just slowdown. Would stay again.
This is a really nice RV park. It’s only 20 minutes from Scottsdale, but it’s so scenic and secluded at the park. There are lots of saguaros and other pretty plants all around the park and you can see the mountains in every direction. There’s also a couple of communal gas grills and shaded picnic tables by the pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to COVID but it looked very inviting. The sites were paved, level and spacious. The WiFi was intermittent but our cell service was great.
We did not stay. We drove thru to Tour and it was very well maintained. The resort is in a beautiful area right by Fountain Hills. A quick trip away from Mesa as well.
The worst customer service. Checked for RV space availability 2 days prior, at which time we were told spaces were available. Today, we called ahead to confirm and got voice mail. Left detailed message, but never received a call back. Checked online and got a message stating "online" reservations were not available. Upon arrival at the "resort" we were told they were in the process of changing their reservation system and could not complete a transaction to check us in and did not have any suggestions or seem to care about the significant inconvenience they caused. Will always avoid this "resort" and its Casino in the future.
Reserved my space back in September for Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving morning drive 200 miles. My space is occupier. I don't care if I land in one space or a other but no one on site to assist. Called the casino, website says its managed by them. Security came and hung out with us. Sat for 3.5 hours before someone made it here. That could assist. Missed my holiday with my family on the other end of town. The head of Security, his name escapes me, came over and introduced himself. Offered us dinner. Of course we took it, we didn't have much alternative.
Went to office this morning. Spoke with a gentleman named Derrick. As I explaining he literally shrugged his shoulders. I stopped mid sentence and asked if he felt what I was saying was irrelevant. He said it was and proceeded to explain that the space I had a reservation for was occupied by a long term rental.
He offered me a 10% discount and referenced that we got fed. To which I replied I feel that sitting here for 3.5 hours was worth more than a 20 dollar discount. He asked what I wanted ...I responded half which he gave.
In the end it isn't the discount, the meal, or much anything else but the "I don't care" that was presented.
I 100% salute we ko pah casino Security for stepping in and assisting to the b3st of their ability. To the gentleman who introduced himself as head of Security, your very arrival and empathy are what customer service is all about.
I will never use this facility again.
