Always well kept. Beautiful wild horses to see ( but do NOT feed, touch or get too close. The wild life there owns that land and it is important to leave them alone) A great place to take the family for a day of adventure and fun. BBQ pits are there as well. Please help keep our wildlife safe, and make sure to clean up any mess you make while enjoying your day. Watch your children around water.
Entertaining walk alongside the Salt River. Nice hiking trails some with lots of climbing and narrow sections at elevation near the cliff face, watch your step, someone did twist an ankle while we were there. He had a difficult time getting back down and out of the park.
Nice place to walk and hike. Took camera for capturing bird pictures. Wild horses sometimes are visible. River was low in early January but still beautiful.
Has restroom. Picnic tables. Pay for parking pass $8.
This is a gorgeous place to hike along the river. If you go early enough before sunrise or around sunset and after, you could get a glimpse of wild horses. The squirrels were obviously unafraid of humans. Thought he was gonna crawl up my pant leg. Lol
This was really relaxing and there is a trail really well traveled. Loading canoes or kayaks would be pretty easy from here
This is a pretty park right on Salt River. You have a distant view of Superstition Mountain way down stream. It is not that easy to get down to the river, due to some hills along the banks of the river. There is a pavilion and some picnic tables and a restroom. This recreation area is at the end of the road.
