Destin RV Beach Resort offers 36 fully-equipped concrete lots, each with its own patio and picnic table. For guests who desire a little extra room, two on-site condos are available for rent.
Our last summer vacation was in Destin, FL. We fell in love. We absolutely love the location, and everything we needed was right there. Everything was super easy to set up and use. Everyone around was super friendly. We had our 2 daughters & Doberman puppy with us. You're able to rent a golf cart to do more exploring. We're already planning our return trip here.
We enjoyed our stay! The campsite was great and provided privacy. The beach was beautiful and a short walk across the street. We also ate at the Surf Hut that was also across the street. Excellent food.
DEC 2023 I recently stayed at Destin RV Resort from December 22 to January 1, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. Despite being labeled as a "resort," it felt more like a glorified parking lot.
The advertised pictures and amenities turned out to be misleading. There's only one bathroom available for families, making it inconvenient, especially when traveling with children. The lack of activities for kids left them bored, and the overall atmosphere did not align with the resort's classification.
To make matters worse, the cost was significantly higher compared to other RV resorts in the vicinity that offer a plethora of enjoyable activities. It's disheartening to pay double the price and receive subpar facilities and services.
Furthermore, if you have an extra car, be prepared to park it outside the parking lot. Unfortunately, our car was robbed during our stay, prompting us to leave five days earlier than planned. This security issue added to the overall negative experience, leaving me feeling like I was robbed twice – once of my belongings and again of my expected vacation enjoyment.
I hope this review serves as a cautionary note for potential guests and prompts the management to address security concerns to ensure the safety and satisfaction of their patrons. Travelers might want to explore alternative RV resorts in the area that provide better value for their money.
Park is clean, well kept and quiet. The only downside is being charged a pretty high rate in winter, considering we couldn’t use pool or gulf at beach due to weather. I think rates ought to be lower when you can’t use all amenities.
First of all. I think this place is very misleading. It was pretty much a glorified parking lot surrounded by shops and construction. You have to walk across a busy highway and up the road to access the beach. There's a small pool, laundry facility, one bathroom was available for the entire parking lot ( not calling it a resort) during our stay we were not notified about the only bathroom and shower rooms being closed off for construction. I have a shower and toilet but during our stay the water froze from temps dropping down so we couldn't access the water until much later that day. Unfortunately we needed to cut our stay in Destin short due to a family emergency and messaged the resort to notify them. I asked if we could get some sort of refund for our second week being cut short. I've had absolutely zero response from management. Horrible customer service. I'm so disappointed.
