$3 entry fee for a single day. We had great fun seeing the exhibits and enjoying the attractions. Our daughter had fun riding the train ($5), the ponies($5), feeding the goats (petting zoo $1). The carnival was fun too but only a couple of rides for a two year old. The fun was expensive and not that great.

We really enjoyed attending the Central States Fair. The weather was perfect. There were so many midway rides and attractions that a person would be hard-pressed to experience every one in a single day. We loved the Texas Longhorn competition and will be back again just to see it. Wonderful experience, highly recommended for all.

There is a lot of ground to cover so good walking shoes or boots. We were able to attend a rodeo while visiting which was extra fun since we knew so many people involved. This was a special rodeo put on during the National Speleological Society's annual convention. The cowboys were involved with our fellow caver friends. Thank you John Shelton's, organizer and caver.

The fairgrounds is a great location! We've been there for all sorts of events but most recently was for the Fair. The carnival is always a great time! They have rides for all ages and the prices for tickets and bands are fair. We went on buddy day so we saved money on unlimited ride passes.

We also went to the fair earlier during the week for just kid games and animal exhibits. They had a ninja course, play bins with water games, different buildings housing animal and art exhibits, and even a petting zoo! Overall it's a great location for the Fair, rodeos, grandstand events, etc.
